About Us

PIA College has been established since 1986 (formerly known as Perak Institute of Art). PIA has more than 30 years of experience in providing art and design education.

We are one of the pioneer colleges located in Ipoh, Perak Malaysia. PIA is a registered IPTS or Private Higher Education Institution with the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia and our programs are approved and accredited by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). PIA is also registered as Training Provider or Accredited Center with the Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK) or Department of Skills Development, Ministry of Human Resources.

All our programmes are designed to ensure that our graduates possess the knowledge and skills needed to fuel their careers. To excel in an art and design career, drawing and painting skills are insufficient. Graduates must have the ability to come up with creative solutions. That is why we place high emphasis on applied arts and computer graphic components. Thus securing jobs has never been an issue among our graduates as most of them were offered a position as soon as they have graduated.

Our aim is to become the top college in Perak by 2025. As proven by the success stories of our graduates who excel both in and outside of Malaysia, PIA is on the right track. We have been upgrading our facilities to provide a conducive learning environment and improving our curriculum to deliver high quality education – and we are committed to continue doing so.
